About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Tech Team Lead to join our Supply Chain team at Advocate Aurora Health. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient distribution of supplies and equipment to our clinical departments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver equipment to Clinical Engineering according to established procedures.
  • Obtain signatures for all deliveries.
  • Physically replenish items in the storeroom that are delivered on a daily basis from contracted vendor/distributor.
  • Maintain customer service focus and serve as a role model to the team for meeting or exceeding the needs of internal departments to ensure excellence in customer satisfaction.
  • Perform safe transportation of all supplies and patient care equipment.
  • Pick items needed to satisfy all par levels, department requisition, or STAT orders.
  • Send proper supplies and quantity when requested to ordering department.
  • Perform equipment rounds to ensure all Nursing units and departments are properly stocked and equipment is kept cleaned and maintained.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Receive product from carrier, ensure that the manifest matches the number of pieces delivered and the product(s) are not damaged.
  • Compare packing list to individual products received for correct catalog number, quantity, and expiration date.
  • Communicate shortages / over shipments, damages, or errors to the appropriate Supply Chain representative.
  • Stage product for departmental delivery and/or par replenishment as necessary.
  • Prepare any outgoing shipments according to the carriers procedure and contacts the carrier when necessary.
  • Follow established policy and procedure for returned goods.
Requirements
  • Puts away storeroom stock received.
  • Assures all stock is rotated on a regular basis in storeroom and par replenished areas.
  • Maintains proper levels for all patient care equipment.
  • Cleans patient care equipment returned from clinical departments.
  • Communicates excessive product usage by patient or unit, product shortages to the appropriate supply chain representative.
  • Maintains inventory locations, par items, and labels.
  • Documents all product issued to departments by recording item number and department cost center.
  • Maintains a secure storeroom with limited access.
