Seafood Order Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Seafood Order Writer to join our team at Whole Foods Market - Columbus Circle. As a key member of our seafood department, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely ordering of seafood products, maintaining inventory levels, and providing exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities- Ordering and Inventory Management: Replenish seafood products through proper buying procedures, monitor and act upon open PO reports, and maintain accurate inventory levels.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, address customer needs in a timely and effective manner, and model suggestive selling techniques.
- Merchandising and Display: Maximize sales potential through effective merchandising and display of seafood products.
- Inventory Control: Monitor and control spoilage, shrink, and waste, and participate in inventory management.
- Financial Management: Maintain financial profitability by meeting and exceeding purchasing and sales targets.
- Education and Experience: 12+ months retail experience, preferably in a seafood or fish department.
- Skills and Abilities: Comprehensive knowledge of seafood products, strong basic math skills, and ability to use computer programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 50 pounds, stand/walk for 6-8 hours, and work in a fast-paced environment.
Exposure to FDA-approved cleaning chemicals, temperatures up to 90°F, and ability to work in a wet and cold environment.
