We are seeking a skilled Data Visualization Developer to join our team at Kalshi. As a Data Visualization Developer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the visual storytelling that defines our brand. This is not just about making charts-it's about crafting experiences that make data accessible, engaging, and actionable.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Create, iterate, and refine data visualizations that are both informative and visually stunning, ensuring they effectively communicate key insights.
  • Come up with creative ideas and translate complex data sets into clear, compelling visual narratives that WOW our users.
  • Actually build the charts that will appear dynamically on our website and statically in our newsletters and marketing.
  • Leverage and optimize visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) to enhance our data products, identifying opportunities to streamline processes and improve outputs.
  • Ensure that all visualizations are optimized for performance, across various platforms and devices, to maintain a seamless user experience.

Key Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in data visualization design and development.
  • Proficiency with data visualization tools such as Visx or similar.
  • Comfort in front end programming and working in React.
  • Strong foundation in data analysis and a deep understanding of how to structure data for visual consumption.
  • Excellent visual design skills with an understanding of user-centered design principles.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with minimal supervision.

Nice to haves:

  • Experience in creating visualizations for election data.

NYC Pay Transparency Disclosure:

Salary Range: $100,000 to $200,000 annually plus equity and benefits.

This salary range is based on the current available market data and represents the expected salary range for this role.

Kalshi has minimal hierarchy and few titles, but a broad range of experience is represented within roles. Should you have compensation expectations that exceed these bands, we'd love to hear from you and would welcome you to reach out to discuss further.
