About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapy Professional to join our team at Marshall Medical Centers, an affiliate of the Huntsville Hospital Health System.

Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to work in a dynamic environment providing respiratory care services to patients. As a Respiratory Therapy Professional, you will be responsible for performing and administering therapeutic respiratory care procedures, maintaining accurate documentation, and collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer various forms of therapies according to established protocols
  • Maintain knowledge of signs and symptoms of adverse reactions and take necessary steps for patient safety
  • Set up and maintain invasive and non-invasive ventilation equipment
  • Respond to codes and provide emergency respiratory care as needed
  • Perform quality controls, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting on blood gas equipment
  • Accurately document patient information and therapy administered
  • Communicate effectively with healthcare teams, physicians, and patients
Requirements
  • Approval from the Alabama State Board of Respiratory Care
  • Current enrollment and forward progression in an accredited school of respiratory therapy
  • CPR certification with PALS, ACLS, and NRP acquired as permitted by respective school program
Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits such as health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
