Practical Nurse

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team in Westchester County. As a Developmental Disabilities Specialist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to individuals with developmental disabilities.
About the Role- Monitor and assess the health status of individuals in their assigned worksite, detecting changes in condition or responses to medication or therapy.
- Identify symptoms of illnesses and report them to physicians or registered nurses for diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Administer medications, take temperatures, pulse rates, blood pressures, and respiration rates using appropriate equipment.
- Implement and monitor tube feedings, catheterization orders, trach care, deep oral and pharyngeal suctioning.
- Assist individuals in collecting urine, stool, and other specimens for analysis.
- Promptly prepare and maintain charts and records, documenting conditions and activities.
- Perform inventory management of medical supplies and medications.
- A license and current registration to practice as a practical nurse in New York State;
- A limited permit to practice as a practical nurse in New York State;
- An application on file for a limited permit to practice as a practical nurse in New York State (subject to approval immediately following graduation from an approved school).
- Valid driver's license and dependable transportation.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and maintaining attention to detail.
