About the Role

\

As an Autonomous Behavior Therapist at Mindful Sprouts, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact in the lives of children with diverse exceptionalities and their families. You will work from clients' homes, schools, and community settings, providing direct instruction, implementing behavior plans developed by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs), collecting data, and maintaining professional relationships with parents and the community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver Applied Behavior Analysis intervention to children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and related exceptionalities.\
  • Implement behavior plans as outlined in client programs by associated BCBAs.\
  • Collect and display data in accordance with policies and procedures.\
  • Assist in updating client programs as instructed by associated BCBAs.\
  • Implement behavioral procedures for inappropriate child behaviors as instructed or outlined in client programs.\
  • Maintain records in accordance with policies and procedures.\
  • Adhere to company policies, procedures, and regulations.\
  • Notify management of emergencies or significant incidents; suspected abuse, neglect, or exploitation, and changes in client status in accord with company policies and procedures.\
  • Arrive on time for appointments, meetings, trainings, etc.\
  • Respond to phone calls, electronic mail, and other correspondence in a timely fashion.\
  • Conduct yourself professionally and treat all clients, customers, coworkers, and others with dignity, respect, and cultural sensitivity.\
  • Follow clinical and administrative policies and procedures.\

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Prioritize a bachelor's degree in special education, early childhood education, speech/language disorders, psychology, or a related field. High school diploma or equivalent accepted.\
  • Satisfactorily complete a minimum 40-hour Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification course from an accredited institution.\
  • Gain experience working with children diagnosed with ASD or related exceptionalities. Proficient communication in English required. Bilingualism in Spanish or Portuguese preferred.\
  • Demonstrate dependability and a passion for helping children and adolescents.\
  • Hold a valid driver's license and car insurance with the ability to commute to appointments.\
  • Pass a criminal background check.\
  • Capable of lifting up to 25 pounds occasionally.\
