About the Role

Smith Gardens is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician 2 to join our team. As a key member of our facilities operations team, you will be responsible for performing intermediate-level maintenance duties to ensure the proper functioning of our equipment and facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks on machines and equipment to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.
  • Facilities Operations: Assist with the maintenance and repair of facilities, including plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and troubleshoot malfunctions in equipment and other facility issues.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders and equipment maintenance schedules.
  • Safety Protocols: Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in semi-skilled maintenance or a related field.
  • Education: Trade school or vocational training in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance is preferred.
  • Skills: Intermediate level in areas such as mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting, and repair of production machines.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work well with or without direct supervision and collaborate with colleagues.

Pay Range

The pay rate for this position is $22-$26 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
