This position is responsible for providing competent nursing care to patients in the Labor and Delivery Operating Room at UNC REX Healthcare. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of labor and delivery nursing practices and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

Maintains a safe and clean environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
Participates in the development and implementation of patient care plans, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment.
Collaborates with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients.
Demonstrates knowledge of labor and delivery nursing practices, including fetal monitoring, labor support, and postpartum care.
Maintains accurate and timely documentation of patient care, including vital signs, medication administration, and lab results.

Requirements:

Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
Current RN licensure in the state of North Carolina.
ACLS, BCLS, and NRP certifications.
One year of experience working as a licensed RN in a labor and delivery setting.

Preferred Qualifications:

BSN degree.
Experience with electronic medical records (EMRs).
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
