We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Med/Surg Unit 4 team at Kaiser Permanente in Wailuku, Hawaii. As a Staff Nurse, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care and providing leadership to our nursing team.

**Job Summary:**

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients and families, prioritizing their needs and ensuring seamless transitions between care settings.
  • Direct and delegate nursing tasks to licensed practical nurses (LPNs) and nursing assistive personnel, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
  • Utilize the nursing process to deliver evidence-based care, adhering to legal and regulatory guidelines, as well as organizational policies.
  • Maintain expertise in medication administration, patient education, and staff development, promoting excellence in nursing practice.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Assess patient needs, develop individualized care plans, and evaluate outcomes in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Promote patient safety and satisfaction by addressing concerns, resolving issues, and improving communication.
  • Mentor and precept new staff members, sharing knowledge and best practices to enhance skill development.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to data-driven decisions that drive positive change.

**Requirements:**

  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing with a current Registered Nurse license (Hawaii) and Basic Life Support certification.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, adapting to changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong commitment to teamwork and collaboration.

**Preferred Qualifications:**

  • Experience working with electronic medical records and proficiency in basic EKG interpretation.
  • Completion of formal coursework in area-specific specialties or completion of a course in basic EKG within a designated period after hire.

**Estimated Salary:** $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
