Leisure Therapist

We are seeking a skilled Recreation Assistant to join our team at Ingraham Manor in Bristol, CT. This per diem role involves providing direct therapeutic recreation services to residents, ensuring their individual needs are met through group and one-to-one service delivery.

This 16-hour position is ideal for an enthusiastic and creative individual who can implement engaging activity programs that cater to the physical, mental, psychosocial needs of residents. As a member of our interdisciplinary team, you will share resident progress in verbal and written formats.

• Plan and implement activity programs that meet residents' specific needs, including large group, small group, and individual participation as scheduled.
• Create interest in activities and motivate residents to participate daily, utilizing creativity and motivational skills.
• Maintain accurate documentation as required by State and Federal regulations and attendance records.
• Ensure personal and staff compliance with Residents' Rights.
• Conduct initial assessments to understand residents' needs and preferences.

To be successful in this role, you should have:

• A high school diploma or GED (preferred).
• The ability to lift a minimum of fifteen (15) lbs. and carry objects.
• The capacity to push and pull carts, and continuously walk, sit, and stand.

The estimated annual salary for this role is around $42,000 - $50,000 based on industry standards and location factors.
