Correctional Facility Officer
We are excited to announce that the Central Arkansas Workforce Development Area is currently seeking qualified individuals for the position of Correctional Facility Officer. This role offers a unique opportunity for those interested in a career within the corrections field, as well as a pathway into law enforcement.
Applicants for the Correctional Facility Officer position should meet the following criteria: be at least 18 years old, possess a high school diploma or equivalent, hold a valid driver's license, and be able to successfully complete a background investigation. A strong work ethic and positive attitude are essential for success in this role.
The starting salary for full-time Correctional Facility Officers is competitive, with annual compensation set at $40,237.60. Benefits for this position include comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance; paid time off for vacation, sick leave, and holidays; retirement benefits after five years of service; a supportive work environment; equal opportunities for advancement; and an administration that encourages open communication with all staff members.
Qualifications
  • Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
  • Must successfully pass a background check and drug screening.
  • Must have a high school diploma or GED.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license.
  • Must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
