Job Summary

CHS Inc. is a leading global agribusiness that provides grain, food, and energy resources to businesses and consumers worldwide. We are seeking a skilled Agricultural Operations Specialist to join our team in Devils Lake, ND.

This role involves working in the barley house, grading grain, assisting customers, loading cars, and performing general maintenance. Additionally, we offer the opportunity to train as a Custom Applicator, operating a high-clearance sprayer or floater in the Spring and Fall.

Typical working hours are Monday-Friday, 7AM-5PM, with occasional night shifts and weekends. During Spring and Harvest seasons, hours may extend to Monday-Sunday, 7AM-10PM.

Key Responsibilities

  • Apply fertilizers and crop protection products under general supervision, including the use of high-clearance sprayers or floaters.
  • Interact with customers in a courteous and professional manner, educating them on products, techniques, and services.
  • Assist sales staff in ensuring accurate orders and meeting customer needs.
  • Perform warehouse tasks, including driving loaders, forklifts, and performing maintenance.
  • Load and unload agricultural inputs from railcars and trucks using heavy or light-duty machinery.
  • Pick up and deliver products to customers as needed.
  • Perform general labor duties efficiently, including maintenance, grounds maintenance, equipment inspection, and record-keeping.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience in Agriculture Production, Operations, and/or Application.
  • Meet minimum age requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Meet DOT and Company requirements.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
  • Operate machinery such as loaders, conveyors, tractors, and track mobiles.
  • Ability to work additional hours to meet business demands.
  • High School diploma or GED preferred.
  • Applicator's license, chemical application education, forklift certification, and farming/agriculture background preferred.
