About the Position

We are seeking an experienced Addiction Medicine Nurse Practitioner to join our team at LANE COUNTY. The ideal candidate will have the ability to prescribe medication-assisted treatment medications, including buprenorphine and methadone, and provide comprehensive care to individuals struggling with opioid use disorder.

About the Division

The Lane County Medication Assisted Treatment Program uses a holistic model of treatment that incorporates traditional abstinence-based recovery and harm reduction principles. Our team provides medication-assisted treatment services to help program participants reduce and ultimately end the use of heroin and other opioid drugs.

Responsibilities
  • Prescribe medication-assisted treatment medications, including buprenorphine and methadone
  • Provide comprehensive care to individuals struggling with opioid use disorder
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide integrated care
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
Requirements
  • Master's degree in nursing from an accredited college or university
  • Completion of a Nurse Practitioner program specific to the expanded specialty role/category for which application is made
  • Active and unrestricted medical license as a Nurse Practitioner at time of appointment
  • Certificate to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in the State of Oregon, in the specified specialty role/category
  • Certificate granting full prescription authority
  • CPR/BLS certification
  • Current DEA licensure and prescriptive authority in Oregon
  • National Provider Identifier (NPI)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Board certification in Addiction Medicine or related field
  • Experience working with individuals struggling with opioid use disorder
  • Knowledge of medication-assisted treatment and harm reduction principles
