Speech Language Pathologist (SLP)

PRN/Per Diem/As Needed

Pay: $53.00 per hour

Select Specialty Hospitals, a division of Select Medical, provides extended hospital care for chronically and critically ill patients. Our mission is to deliver exceptional patient care experiences that promote healing and recovery in a compassionate environment.

As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will play a vital role in our team by providing high-quality care and contributing to our patient-centered approach. You will work collaboratively with associates to develop and implement effective treatment plans that address the physical, mental, and social needs of our patients.

Responsibilities

We are seeking a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist to join our team. Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing comprehensive evaluations of communication skills and/or swallowing function
  • Developing and implementing goal-oriented treatment plans to facilitate maximum communication and/or swallowing potential
  • Participating in peer review and staff performance appraisals
  • Assisting in the development of departmental policies and procedures
  • Maintaining an adequate stock of supplies and sharing professional knowledge and experience
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech/Language/Hearing Association
  • A valid license issued by the State in which you are practicing
  • At least two years of progressively responsible experience as a Speech Language Pathologist
  • A Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
