Job Title: Medical Records Unit Supervisor

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Records Unit Supervisor to oversee the development of a new process and standards for the determination of relevance of medical records as it relates to the Division Independent Medical Exam (DIME) program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and implement guidelines, standards, and workflows for the DIME's medical record management.
  • Work with management and the DIME unit to determine a method and policy for electronic file storage for DIME packets, including the original and extracted records.
  • Oversee the Division's medical summary platform software for the extraction of medical records relevant to all DIMEs.
  • Train, utilize, and assist in the development of a software solution to sort, index, and deliver medical records associated with the DIME process.

Requirements:

  • Seven (7) years of relevant experience in an occupation related to the work assigned to this position.
  • Experience and competencies related to unit leadership, process development, and clinical and/or legal processes application.
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology and the ability to interpret medical records.
  • Management of Personnel Resources: Motivating, developing, and directing people as they work, identifying the best people for the job.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of DIME processes (Rule 11 regulations).
  • Experience in/knowledge of reviewing Workers' Compensation medical records (not billing records).
  • Unit Supervision experience.

Working Conditions:

  • This position will have remote and hybrid workplace options available but will still be required to report to the listed address at the discretion of the supervisor and based on business need.
