We are seeking a skilled Financial Services Sanctions Compliance Specialist to join our team in Midtown New York City. This is a 6 month contract with opportunity to extend, offering a competitive hourly pay rate of $**120-$150 per hour**, plus benefits.

About the Role

This exciting opportunity involves performing sanctions investigations, reviewing internal and external referrals, and conducting transaction reviews as part of the BAU typology sampling process. You will also be responsible for reviewing returned payments for sanctions nexus, comparing with prior Voluntary Self Disclosures, and assisting in drafting typology parameters for Sanctions Intelligence Tool typologies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Performing sanctions investigations and reviewing internal and external referrals to determine potential sanctions nexus
  • Conducting transaction reviews as part of the BAU typology sampling process
  • Reviewing returned payments for sanctions nexus and comparing with prior Voluntary Self Disclosures
  • Drafting typology parameters for Sanctions Intelligence Tool typologies, as needed
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 5+ years experience in performing sanctions investigations
  • Bachelor's degree required, CAMS preferred
  • Strong sanctions knowledge, transaction review skills, and business writing skills
  • Ability to clearly articulate facts relevant to recommendations
