At Southern New Hampshire Health, we are seeking a skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at Foundation Medical Partners in Nashua. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

About the Role:

As a Medical Assistant, you will be responsible for participating in the provision of professional nursing care to patients under the supervision of Registered Nurses, Providers, and Practice Manager. Your duties will include:

  • Participating in the care of patients in person, via telephone, and telehealth modalities under the supervision of the Provider(s), in accordance with professional standards and scope of practice as defined by applicable State laws.
  • Performing functions delegated by Provider(s) and Registered Nurses, including administering prescribed medications, treatments, and immunizations, point-of-care testing, and collection/handling of specimens, within the appropriate scope of practice as defined by applicable State laws and regulations.
  • Collecting and screening history and health-related information from patients and communicating findings to the Provider(s).
  • Communicating Provider advice/instructions and plan of care to patients.
  • Documenting care activities in the medical record, including procedures, interventions, patient/family communication, and test results, with accuracy and detail.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or GED.
  • Completion of a Medical Assistant program or equivalent experience of 3 years as an MA.
  • Current BLS/CPR training.
  • One year of experience in a medical practice or healthcare setting, preferred.
