Product Manager for Industrial Hose and Environmental Cleaning Market Segment

Echelon Supply and Service is seeking a seasoned Product Manager to oversee the successful flow of business for a product family serving the industrial hose and environmental cleaning market segment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain the product-market strategy for the industrial hose and environmental cleaning market segment, including SKU and sub-family additions and removals.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and metrics, participating in trade association events and becoming the go-to expert within the company for this market segment.
  • Track sales, profitability, and estimate market share for the product line, maintaining a stars vs dogs table to identify high-performing and underperforming SKUs or sub-families.
  • Develop and maintain the product brochure, catalog section, sales training aids, and marketing communications plan for this market segment, gaining approval from sales leadership.
  • Collaborate with Sales to develop the customer lifecycle strategy and direct sales personnel towards achieving objectives.
  • Develop and maintain the pricing strategy for the product line, proposing list prices and assisting Sales in determining customer discount levels.
  • Work with Finance to create product-line profitability models and propose rough-cut inventory volumes to Supply Chain and Operations.
  • Support sales managers with technical product knowledge and education, accompanying customer visits as needed.
  • Develop a vendor strategy with Procurement, assist in vendor relations, and negotiate prices.
  • Monitor quality levels as provided by Operations.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in product and market segment management.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • Passion for the industrial hose and environmental cleaning market segment.
  • Proficient computer skills, including MS Office, with a willingness to learn new software programs.
