Creative Events Experience Specialist

The Creative Events Experience Specialist is responsible for planning, coordinating, and facilitating events within a Michaels store to provide an exceptional customer experience. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be able to work effectively in a team environment, and have a strong passion for creating memorable experiences for guests of all ages.

Responsibilities
This role involves:
* Planning and coordinating multiple events simultaneously, including children's birthday parties and other craft classes or events
* Engaging with clients of all ages, from 4 to 94+, by creating an environment of fun and creativity
* Demonstrating and instructing party participants in the completion of craft projects, performing face painting and other activities
* Facilitating and implementing party add-ons such as goody bags, balloons, etc. to company standards
* Communicating events with clients and store team members
* Completing administrative tasks such as answering emails, making phone calls, and completing paperwork as needed
* Adjusting plans and events based on client feedback and needs
* Ensuring client satisfaction for scheduled events
* Upholding the company's cleanliness and safety standards. Set up, break down, and clean before and after each event
Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess:
* Excellent people skills, with the ability to handle job stress and interact effectively with others, including guests of all ages and co-workers
* Retail and/or customer service experience required
* Good communication skills, including written, verbal, and nonverbal communication as well as listening skills
* Organizational skills, interpersonal skills, and creative problem-solving skills
* Ability to remain standing for long periods of time and move throughout the store
