Job Summary:

The primary responsibility of a Clamp Truck Operator is to safely and efficiently operate the equipment to lift and move materials within the warehouse. This involves navigating the clamp truck in tight spaces and positioning the hydraulic clamps to grip and transport materials securely.

The driver is also responsible for stacking materials in an organized and safe manner, ensuring that inventory is properly managed and accounted for.

This role requires strong communication skills to effectively coordinate with other team members and ensure efficient warehouse operations.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Ensure accurate inventory management and record-keeping of materials moved and stacked.
  • Receive and unload various types of product, including paper stock, using the EDI System or scan gun.
  • Move materials from one location to another and stack them in an organized and safe manner.
  • Pull and stage ship out orders, ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment.
  • Conduct daily maintenance and inspections to ensure the clamp truck is in working order and fluids are full.
  • Practice effective communication and teamwork to ensure efficient warehouse operations.
  • Ensure no product is damaged in the warehouse, and notate any damaged material for supervision.
  • Reversely store unused paper and maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Be familiar with and practice FIFO (First in-First Out) inventory management.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 1 year of clamp truck experience.
  • Good troubleshooting, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Ability to read and understand written instructions.

Desired Skills and Abilities:

  • Previous industry experience preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Frequent long hours, 12-hour days.
  • Ability to lift 60lbs. on a regular basis.
  • Willingness to work all shifts.
  • Hearing protection and gloves required.
