Job Summary:

The Electronics Assembly Supervisor is responsible for supervising the daily activities of the Electronics Assembly Department to meet production, quality, cost reduction, training, and maintenance targets. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills to manage a team of employees and ensure the efficient production of electronic products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and train Electronics Assembly crew members to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties.
  • Manage and maintain accuracy of department inventory system within 1%.
  • Use Requisition System to communicate inventory needs to Purchasing Department.
  • Implement process improvements to lower production costs and improve quality.
  • Manage and measure EA quality, training, and maintenance.
  • Representative Responsibilities:
    • Manage and direct daily workflow with proper utilization and efficiency of resources.
    • Ensure priorities are met and jobs are completed on time, on budget, and of the highest quality.
    • Organize and prioritize daily workload for employees and request more resources when required.
    • Ensure all products produced in the department are built to standards and specifications.
    • Maintain and oversee quality procedures and practices.
    • Manage preventive and periodic maintenance on all EA machinery, tools, and test equipment.
    • Develop and implement preventive and periodic maintenance procedures and schedules.
    • Oversee PCBA manufacturing operations.
    • Train and supervise SMT and Thru-Hole operators.
    • Maintain automated assembly and soldering procedures and documentation.
    • Continuously develop new skills and knowledge to support and enhance PCBA manufacturing.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or its equivalent, 4-6 years of electronics assembly/fabrication experience and 2-4 years of supervisory experience.
  • Associates degree in Business Administration/Operations Management or other similarly related degree, 3-5 years of electronics assembly/fabrication experience and 1-3 years of supervisory experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration/Operations Management or other similarly related degree, 1-3 years of electronics assembly/fabrication experience and 0-1 years of supervisory experience.
  • Background or working knowledge of purchasing, production control and engineering helpful.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Fluent Technical Services provider.
  • PCB skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and creative thinking skills.
