Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Truck Driver CDL A to join our team. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for delivering and unloading food and food-related products to our customers in a safe and timely manner. You will also be responsible for performing pre- and post-trip inspections, maintaining accurate records, and communicating with customers and vendors.
Responsibilities
Deepen our partnership with customers by delivering products in a safe and timely manner, including:
- Driving a tractor-trailer or straight truck to deliver and/or unload food and food-related products to customers
- Performing pre- and post-trip inspections to ensure the safety and security of your vehicle and cargo
- Maintaining accurate records, including hours of service, fuel logs, and delivery manifests
- Communicating with customers and vendors to resolve any issues or concerns
Also, you will be responsible for:
- Inspecting trailers for properly loaded and secured freight
- Counting and verifying the accuracy of delivered products
- Completing all required paperwork associated with freight, including delivery manifests and invoices
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A valid CDL-A license with at least 6 months of commercial driving experience
- A clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) for the past 3 years
- Ability to lift and move products of varying size and weight (up to 90 pounds)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent deadlines and changing priorities
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
