Job Description
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to individuals with kidney disease, including those undergoing kidney transplant. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, and demonstrate a commitment to delivering evidence-based care.

Key Responsibilities:
* Provide direct patient care to patients with renal disease, including those requiring dialysis or transplantation
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
* Conduct comprehensive assessments, identify areas for improvement, and implement changes as necessary
* Educate patients and families on self-care techniques, medication management, and lifestyle modifications
* Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and experiences

Requirements
* Current RN licensure in Ohio (Compact state) or ability to obtain
* 2+ years of medical-surgical experience, preferably in a renal setting
* Strong understanding of renal physiology, pharmacology, and pathophysiology
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

The 2S Renal unit is a 24-bed medical/surgical unit specializing in the care of patients with kidney disease. The unit has a strong focus on providing culturally sensitive care, supporting patients and families throughout their journey, and promoting positive health outcomes.
