Academic Computing Instructor Position at University of Tampa

The Computer Science Department at the College of Social Sciences, Mathematics, and Education invites applications for part-time instructors to teach courses in Computer Science. The department currently teaches courses in person during the normal workday (8am to 5pm). Candidates should consider this before applying.
Salary
The estimated annual salary for this position is approximately $55,000 - $60,000, based on industry standards for part-time instruction in Computer Science at a university level.
Job Description
This is a part-time instructor position teaching one or two 4-hour computer science courses per semester. Responsibilities include providing a meeting time for students enrolled in courses, modifying existing course syllabi with input from the department course coordinator, managing online course systems for courses, providing support for academic accreditation programs, and entering grades into the online grading system.
Required Skills and Qualifications
A graduate degree with at least 18 graduate-level credit hours in Computer Science is required. Excellent communication skills are essential. Teaching experience is preferred, as is demonstrated continuous self-improvement through discipline-related continuing education, professional development, or active participation with professional or academic organizations.
