Yale University invites applications for a Senior Enterprise Architecture Lead to join our team.

We are seeking an experienced and visionary leader to drive the development of our enterprise architecture strategy, aligning IT services with the university's mission. As a key member of our IT leadership team, you will play a critical role in enhancing operational efficiency, driving change, and navigating competing interests to develop design standards that support our digital transformation.

About the Role

This is a key position that requires strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills. You will lead the EA practice, working closely with business stakeholders, IT architects, and technologists across the university. Your primary focus will be on developing and implementing an IT architecture strategy, consulting with partners on digital transformations, engaging in annual portfolio planning, and leading EA governance.

You will also plan, define, deliver, and measure EA services such as application and technology portfolio management, roadmaps, and capability mapping. Additionally, you will develop EA talent, support vendor management, stay abreast of emerging technologies, and manage disaster recovery policies and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish departmental goals and objectives, policies, and procedures with autonomy.
  • Manage accountability and stewardship of human, financial, and physical resources in compliance with department and university strategic goals and objectives.
  • Communicate effectively, create clear and coherent written materials, and influence the direction of services, systems, or projects.
  • Maintain close relationships with senior leadership to determine overall staffing levels to meet business objectives and collaborate on budgets and financial risk management.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's Degree and ten years of experience or equivalent education and experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing enterprise-wide architecture and architectural practices to support organizational strategies and priorities.
  • Experience working in a matrixed environment and leading IT initiatives that cross traditional departmental boundaries.
  • Expert ability to facilitate meetings with senior leaders and stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage staff and act as a trusted advisor.
What We Offer

As a Senior Enterprise Architecture Lead at Yale University, you can expect a competitive salary range of $160,000 - $200,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
