We're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal C++ Developer, Data-Plane Services to join our team at Oracle. As a world leader in cloud solutions, we're committed to innovation and excellence in everything we do.



Job Description


We are facing numerous engineering challenges in critical foundational data-plane services that power the next-gen OCI cloud. Our ideal candidate will have expertise in highly performant, reliable, available system engineering to take OCI data-planes to the next level.



Your Responsibilities



  • You will envision, collaborate with executives for investment, and drive the software design and development for new major data-plane components of Oracle's Cloud Infrastructure.
  • You will define the foundations for the next generation of OCI data-planes, making deep architectural changes calls as an outstanding builder and technical leader.
  • You will take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures within the software engineering division.
  • You will perform professional software development tasks associated with developing, designing, and debugging software applications or operating systems.


Required Skills and Qualifications


To be successful in this role, you'll need:



  • 5+ years of relevant engineering, architecture, or development/operational experience.
  • Strong experience of C/C++ (preferred) or Rust (preferred).
  • Strong experience with high-concurrency systems.
  • Experience in low-level and performance-critical system level design and service development.
  • Working experience with technologies like Linux OSes/kernels, device drivers, performance testing tools, distributed debugging tools, high-performance distributed storage, networking.
  • Strong team player with outstanding communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to learn new technologies quickly and drive, follow, evangelize, and improve cross-team processes.
  • Expert knowledge of cloud infrastructure concepts and technologies.
  • Experience working with geographically distributed teams.
  • Significant work experience in startups or fast-paced enterprise technology development environments.

Salary Range


The salary range for this position is from $94,200 to $223,500 per annum, with eligibility for bonus and equity. May vary based on location and qualifications.
