Adoption Trainer

At Family Support Services of North Florida, we are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Adoption Trainer & Family Assessor to join our team. This role is responsible for utilizing inquiry technology to onboard interested families in foster care adoption, preparing families for adoption with the curriculum-based PRIDE classes, and completing in-depth home studies for potential adoptive families.

• Provide orientation and direct training as required based on the modules developed for P.R.I.D.E.
• Coordinate fingerprinting and criminal, FAHIS background checks on potential adoptive families in accordance with the requirements and timeframes outlined in F.A.C. 65C-16.
• Utilize Florida Safe Families Network (FSFN) to document and create person provider inquiries and home studies.
• Monitor class attendance and submission of required documentation and family profiles.
• Complete and submit adoption home studies to supervisor within 90 days of PRIDE graduation.

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• Three years professional experience in child welfare with at least two years in a dependency related position and experience in trainer/teacher related activities (developing curriculum, presentation construction, training facilitation, etc.).
• Valid driver's license.
