Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned Legal Counsel Lead to join our team at BioCell Technology LLC. This is a unique opportunity to lead our corporate legal affairs, ensuring the company's compliance with regulatory requirements and protecting its interests globally.

About the Role

The Legal Counsel Lead will be responsible for providing strategic guidance on all legal matters, including corporate governance, employment law, commercial contracts, intellectual property, and litigation. You will work closely with our executive team to develop and implement effective legal strategies that drive business growth while minimizing risk.

This role requires a strong understanding of US and international laws, as well as excellent communication and negotiation skills. As a trusted advisor, you will provide counsel to senior leadership, negotiate contracts, and manage external counsel. Your expertise will help us navigate complex legal issues and make informed decisions.

Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic guidance on all legal matters, including corporate governance, employment law, commercial contracts, intellectual property, and litigation.
  • Develop and implement effective legal strategies that drive business growth while minimizing risk.
  • Work closely with the executive team to ensure alignment between legal and business objectives.
  • Negotiate contracts, manage external counsel, and provide counsel to senior leadership.
  • Manage the company's worldwide IP portfolio and properties, including product name clearance opinions, patent registration support, and copyright clearance reviews.
  • Assist Human Resources, internal audit, and compliance departments in investigations and inquiries.
  • Coordinate and liaise with broker, TPAs, and claim adjusters on claim matters.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you must have:

  • A Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in corporate legal affairs, preferably in a similar industry.
  • Strong knowledge of US and international laws, including contract law, employment law, and intellectual property law.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
