Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Electronic System Sales Representative to join our team at Johnson Controls. This role involves promoting and selling Fire Safety/Fire Alarm Systems to contractors and end users within a designated territory.

About the Job

The ideal candidate should have prior sales experience in electronic systems, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently while managing customer accounts.

  • Establish contact with prospects, develop sales strategies, conduct demonstrations, and maintain customer relations to achieve sales targets.
  • Promote and sell Fire Safety/Fire Alarm Systems to contractors and end users within an assigned territory.
Responsibilities
  • Schedule sales calls, follow up on leads, and utilize Johnson Controls marketing strategies to qualify potential buyers.
  • Develop a sales strategy to gain customer understanding of company product offerings, prioritize opportunities, and maintain appropriate territory records.
  • Conduct seminars, demonstrations, etc. to generate, develop, and qualify leads for prospective customers.
  • Prepare financial justifications, proposals, and presentations to close sales effectively.
  • Interface effectively with district operations to deliver and improve service delivery.
  • Deliver sales against an assigned quota and maintain established accounts through regular customer contact.
  • Report progress and supply metrics to operation and corporate teams on a weekly and monthly basis.
  • Participate in trade shows, special product demonstrations, and other events to increase sales and enhance the company's image.
Requirements
  • Highly motivated and success-driven individual with a high degree of self-discipline.
  • Self-motivation with good organization skills and excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Able to persuade and close sales, obtain necessary licenses, and meet minimum requirements.
  • Minimum of two years successful sales experience in Electronic Systems or similar experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, engineering, or equivalent work experience.
  • Ability to quickly identify and qualify opportunities, and experience working with electrical contractors.
  • Computer experience, particularly with Microsoft and Oracle programs.
Estimated Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per year
