Job Title: MRI Technologist - Travel Position

We are seeking a highly skilled MRI Technologist to join our team for a travel position in Danville, Pennsylvania.

Job Description:

The ideal candidate will have 1 year of experience and possess ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT National Certification with registration in magnetic resonance imaging, and state-specific licensing when required.

The MRI Technologist will be responsible for the use of magnetic resonance imaging equipment and ensuring that images are accurate and passed on to physicians for medical interpretation. The candidate will also be responsible for the preparation of and caring for patients undergoing MRI imaging.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Confirm patient identification, review imaging requests, and explain imaging procedures to patients
  • Screen patients for MRI safety prior to procedure performance
  • Correctly interpret doctors' written instructions
  • Position patients for MRI scans using immobilization and protective equipment
  • Assist radiologist with procedure performance
  • Start I.V.s, administer contrast media as directed, and per protocol
  • Evaluate MRI scans for technical quality, collate processed images, and sequence of exposure, and label appropriately
  • Load and operate power injectors for contrast media administration
  • Follow safety procedures when working with radiation
  • Maintain accurate patient records
  • Understand and use the McKesson PACS system

Requirements:

  • 1 year of experience
  • ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT National Certification with registration in magnetic resonance imaging, and state-specific licensing when required
