Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Bartender to join our team at Juans Flying Burrito. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, preparing and serving beverages, and maintaining a clean and welcoming bar area.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take orders from guests and servers, and prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks consistent with our standard drink recipes.
  • Present drink menus, make recommendations, and answer questions regarding beverages.
  • Upsell drink specials and food items as directed by management.
  • Recognize and greet regular customers.
  • Record drink orders accurately and immediately into the Point of Sale system.
  • Accept guest payment, process credit card charges, and make change as needed.
  • Maintain cleanliness in all areas of the bar, including counters, sinks, utensils, shelves, and storage areas.
  • Receive and serve food orders to guests seated at the bar.
  • Report equipment problems and bar maintenance issues to the restaurant manager.

Requirements

  • Outgoing personality, positive attitude, and strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 5 hours).
  • Ability to reach, bend, stoop, and frequently lift up to 40 pounds.
  • Punctuality and regular and reliable attendance.
  • Honesty and integrity.
