About the Job

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a nursing role in our Endoscopy unit at Kaiser Permanente's Seattle location. The successful candidate will provide high-quality patient care, work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, and contribute to the delivery of exceptional healthcare services.

Job Summary

The RN Endoscopy position involves providing comprehensive nursing care to patients undergoing endoscopic procedures. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, and demonstrate a commitment to delivering compassionate and patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide pre-procedure, intra-procedure, and post-procedure care to patients undergoing endoscopic procedures.
  • Assess patient needs, develop individualized care plans, and implement evidence-based practices to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and promote seamless transitions between departments.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient information, including medical histories, treatment plans, and progress notes.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, education programs, and professional development activities to enhance clinical skills and stay current with best practices.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:

  • A valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Washington or a compact state.
  • Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required at hire.
  • 1+ years of experience as a registered nurse in an ambulatory care setting, preferably in endoscopy or gastroenterology.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner.
