Compunnel is seeking a skilled Medical Data Entry Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately entering medical and surgical patient histories into Penn Medicine's electronic medical record (EMR) system.

About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to work in a collaborative environment with a dedicated nursing team. As a Medical Data Entry Specialist, you will be an integral part of ensuring accurate and up-to-date patient records. Your strong understanding of medical terminology and experience with EMR systems will enable you to excel in this position.

Key Responsibilities
  • Enter patient medical and surgical history accurately into the EMR system.
  • Extract relevant chart information and update records in compliance with medical standards.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of medical terminology to ensure accurate data entry.
  • Work collaboratively within the nursing team area, providing support and ensuring data quality.
  • Ensure compliance with privacy and confidentiality regulations regarding patient information.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A valid LPN license as per state board requirements.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience as an LPN.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and EMR systems; EPIC experience preferred.
Estimated Salary Range: $45,000 - $65,000 per year
