About the Opportunity
Sul Ross State University is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to fill the role of Academic Assistant in the RGC department. This part-time position offers a unique opportunity to gain experience in academic support while contributing to the success of our students.
Responsibilities
The Academic Assistant will be responsible for providing support to faculty members, staff, and students in the RGC department. Key responsibilities include assisting with event planning, data entry, and communication with stakeholders. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent and basic computer skills. Previous experience in an academic setting is desirable but not required. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for success in this position.
What We Offer
We offer a competitive hourly rate of $15.63 per hour, up to 19 hours per week. This is a temporary-part time position that may convert to an internship during the Spring semester.
