Reliable Equipment Technician for Manufacturing Environment

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team in Charlotte, NC.
Job OverviewIn this role, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing mechanical and electrical devices on production lines and support equipment. You will also rebuild pumps and related equipment, train and assist line personnel, and complete daily, weekly, and monthly preventative maintenance procedures.
You will perform visual inspections on all line equipment and communicate operating information to other shifts and departments. Additionally, you will participate in team meetings to evaluate process improvement opportunities.
Key Responsibilities- Troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical and electrical issues on production lines and support equipment
- Rebuild pumps and associated equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Train and assist line personnel to ensure they have the necessary skills to perform their tasks effectively
- Complete daily, weekly, and monthly preventative maintenance procedures to prevent equipment downtime
- Perform visual inspections of all line equipment to identify potential issues before they become major problems
- Communicate operating information and concerns to personnel on other shifts and in other departments
- Participate in team meetings to evaluate and investigate process improvement opportunities that may impact team performance
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues
- Excellent communication and training skills to effectively work with line personnel
- Basic math and writing skills to accurately complete paperwork and records
- Mechanical aptitude to perform repairs and maintenance tasks
- Attention to detail to identify potential issues before they become major problems
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, multimeters, pneumatic diagrams, electrical ladder diagrams, blueprints, logic diagrams, and technical manuals
The estimated salary range for this role is $30 - $32 per hour, paid via W2 (no corp-to-corp). This is a 6-month temp-to-perm position, with a weekend rotation every other week. The shift hours are Monday to Friday, 6am to 2:30pm EST.
