Job Summary: EVRAZ is seeking a skilled and reliable Fleet Driver to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Load and unload ferrous and non-ferrous materials using roll off containers, end dumps, and flat decks in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections, reporting any discrepancies or potential hazards to dispatch personnel.
  • Ensure all maintenance items are completed, including greasing, tire pressure checks, and other tasks as per maintenance policy.
  • Keep equipment clean and secured in a designated area.
  • Monitor over-weight loads and unsafe conditions, contacting dispatch personnel immediately if necessary.
  • Handle supplier requests and complaints, communicating any issues to dispatch personnel or immediate supervisors.
  • Operate equipment in the yard as needed.
  • Recognize and report potential hazards in and around the service area.
  • Communicate delays or issues to dispatch personnel to ensure smooth operations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Possess a Class A CDL License and a satisfactory driving record.
  • Be familiar with OT rules and regulations related to over-the-road carriers and local deliveries.
  • Be able to lift at least 25 pounds.
  • Have a reliable form of transportation to and from work.
  • Have a High School Diploma or GED equivalency.
  • Be proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English to effectively communicate and comprehend job-related information.
