Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to join our treatment team as a licensed psychiatrist. As a Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Care Specialist, you will provide ongoing psychiatric care to adolescent residents with mental, emotional, or substance abuse problems.

You will perform routine and emergency assessments, diagnostic clarification, and treatment recommendations. You will also coordinate care before and during admission and post-discharge, communicate with parents/guardians and educate clients on a weekly basis, and attend weekly treatment team meetings.

In this role, you will serve as a liaison with the Director of Nursing, Clinical Director, and other treatment team members. You will assess and screen patients, conduct psychiatric evaluations, medical histories, physical exams, observations, and psychological testing.

You will develop a treatment plan, measure progress against the plan, and make adjustments as needed. You will collaborate with case managers and other stakeholders about treatment and care, and complete all necessary clinical documentation in an accurate and timely manner.

This is a full-time position that requires a medical degree from an accredited medical school and completion of an approved psychiatric residency. You must also have a current and valid Board Certification in Psychiatry and a license to practice medicine in the state of CA.
