About the Role

Leidos is seeking a detail-oriented problem-solver to serve as a Data Analysis Engineer to support the Advanced Materials Department. As an integral member of the team, this position will balance multiple activities including data aggregation and analysis, modeling and simulation, and testing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze and correlate test data with material properties, design attributes, and thermal profiles
  • Solving complex engineering challenges with both analytical and experimental approaches
  • Support multiple Leidos programs in the area of additive manufacturing

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Materials Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent STEM degree from an ABET accredited institution with 4+ years applicable experience
  • Must be a resident of the United States or willing to relocate to work on-site at a Leidos office
  • Experience performing statistical analysis of large multivariable datasets
  • Experience using a programming language (ex. Python, MATLAB etc.) to solve engineering problems
  • Ability to obtain SECRET clearance. (US Citizenship required)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with metal additive manufacturing processes and technologies
  • Experience using Python to solve engineering and scientific problems
  • Experience anchoring modeling and simulation tools using experimentally derived datasets (ex. CT data, mechanical property data, process variable data, etc.)
