Executive Pastry Artisan

The Inn at Pound Ridge by Jean-Georges is seeking an experienced Pastry Cook to join our culinary team. As a valued member, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of pastries, desserts, and other sweet treats.

This is a full-time position that requires a strong passion for baking and a commitment to excellence in all aspects of pastry preparation.

• Prepare and cook cakes, pies, puddings, custards, and other desserts according to recipes.
• Mix, knead, and shape dough to create a range of pastries, including pies, cakes, and cookies.
• Prepare special desserts during service hours.
• Follow instructions from immediate superiors to complete daily tasks.
• Maintain high standards of quality and consistency in all preparations.

• Culinary degree preferred, with 1 year of pastry work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong understanding of proper pastry methods, techniques, and standards.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule and holidays.
