Job Summary

The Catholic Diocese Of Fort Worth is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Receptionist to join our team. As a Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for visitors and callers, providing exceptional customer service and administrative support to staff and members of the parish committees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to staff and members of the parish committees, including typing, filing, and scheduling.
  • Coordinate meetings and conferences, obtain supplies, and work on special projects.
  • Manage the Catholic Center meeting room calendar and schedules.
  • Sort and route incoming correspondences, including faxes and email, to all departments and clergy.
  • Maintain supplies inventory by checking stock, anticipating needed supplies, placing and expediting orders, and verifying receipt.
  • Manage and monitor security cameras, doors, and gate during business hours.
  • Manage and schedule security access for events outside of office hours.
  • Distribute faxes throughout the day.
  • Water and maintain plants in the lobby area weekly.
  • Handle mail.

Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bi-lingual English/Spanish required.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the job.
  • Professional demeanor and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Works well with the general public and can represent the parish favorably in all interactions with parishioners.
  • Experience with office machines such as copier and postage meter.
  • Knowledge of Roman Catholic beliefs.
  • Demonstrated ability to set priorities and organize work effectively.
  • Flexibility in accepting new or modified duties as the position evolves.
  • Excellent telephone and interpersonal skills.
