Child Development Specialist

Upstate University Hospital seeks a highly skilled Child Development Specialist to join our team.
About the RoleWe are seeking a dedicated Psychologist to perform diagnostic and behavioral evaluations for children, triage them for services, and provide developmentally appropriate recommendations. The ideal candidate will have a Ph.D. or Psy.D. and a NYS Psychologist license.
Key Responsibilities- Perform diagnostic evaluations according to accepted clinical practices and agency policies.
- Participate in post-conference sessions, family conferences, and follow-up procedures.
- Prepare all written documentation and track the evaluation process.
- Provide liaison activities with families, involved agencies, and professionals.
- Write team summaries and develop recommendations for services and follow-up.
- Ph.D. or Psy.D. required; NYS Psychologist license required by time of appointment.
- Excellent clinical, consultative, and written/oral communication skills required.
- Relevant experience working with children with neurodevelopmental differences.
- Demonstrated ability to work on interdisciplinary teams.
This is a full-time position working Monday - Friday 8:00am-4:30pm.
Salary InformationThe estimated salary range for this position is $80,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
