Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

  • Communicate with patients, clients, and referral sources to ensure timely processing of questions and concerns.
  • Complete Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Clinical Management Notes (CMNs) while documenting on tracking logs.
  • Comply with all applicable company policies and procedures to meet Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) and company standards.
  • Provide service for all retail/walk-in equipment requests.
  • Offer technical assistance to customers.
  • Verify Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance coverage information.
  • Collaborate with outside agencies to resolve customer issues.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent, required.
  • Experience with medical equipment, preferred.
  • Experience with medical billing practices and reimbursement, preferred.
  • Experience in the medical field and administrative record management, preferred.
  • One year of related work experience, preferred.
  • Medical terminology, preferred.

Skills and Competencies

  • Able to accurately perform simple mathematical calculations.
  • Effective communication in English, both oral and written.
  • Ability to interpret various communications (verbal, non-verbal, written, listening, and visual).
  • Maintain confidentiality, discretion, and caution when handling sensitive information.
  • Multi-tasking with attention to detail.
  • Self-motivation, organized, time-management, and deductive problem-solving skills.
  • Work independently and as part of a team.
