Dental Hygienist Position with Grande Smiles

Grande Smiles is seeking a highly skilled Dental Hygienist to join our team. This is a full-time/part-time opportunity to work in a dynamic and growing practice.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in dental hygiene, excellent communication skills, and a passion for providing exceptional patient care.

We use state-of-the-art equipment, including Dentsply touch-screen cavitrons, Dexis titanium sensors, 3D printing, 3D X-rays (CBCT), intra-oral scanners, and same-day crowns. Our focus is on delivering the best patient experience possible, and we take pride in having patients who travel from coast to coast to see us.

We estimate the salary range for this position to be between $70,000 and $100,000 per year, based on location and experience.

Responsibilities
  • Record treatment information on patient charts, including treatment rendered, planned, and required chair time.
  • Take radiographs as directed by the doctor.
  • Record periodontal conditions, occlusal relations, and extent of prophylaxis on dental charts.
  • Provide customer service support, escorting patients to and from treatment rooms.
  • Administer Nitrous Oxide and Oxygen to patients as needed.
  • Take impressions for diagnostic and opposing models.
  • Apply topical agents and pit and fissure sealants.
  • Remove excess cement from supragingival surfaces of teeth.
  • Assist the doctor during clinical exams and record findings and recommendations.
  • Perform oral cancer exams on all patients.
  • Scale, polish, and apply fluoride to patient's teeth.
  • Prepare treatment rooms, including setup, decontamination, sterilizing, and sharpening instruments.
Requirements
  • RDH license or equivalent.
  • Experience working with Dentsply touch-screen cavitrons, Dexis titanium sensors, and other state-of-the-art equipment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to maintain composure and professionalism in stressful situations.
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations and changes.
  • Skilled in using standard office equipment and computer software.
  • Ability to engender trust from doctors, coworkers, and patients.
