Job Description for Construction Coordinator

Tri Pointe Homes is seeking a skilled Construction Coordinator to join our team.



Key Responsibilities:


  • Provide administrative support to the construction management team, handling routine and special matters.
  • Process various development agreements, permit applications, and associated bonds/letters of credit, tracking them from issuance to renewals and bond releases.
  • Coordinate the delivery and permitting of sales and construction offices.
  • Prepare, update, and edit detailed correspondences, forms, reports, and presentations with attention to detail.
  • Install and maintain a systematic filing system for electronic and hard copy documents.
  • Monitor schedules and deadlines to keep the department informed and ahead of deliverables.
  • Prepare and process consultant contracts and purchase orders.
  • Manage OSHA requirements for field employees.
  • Coordinate office and supply setup.
  • Review and analyze pricing and change orders under the construction manager's supervision.
  • Produce starts for builders, sales employees, and subcontractors to notify them of builds.
  • Send documentation to subcontractors by request.
  • Code indirect/direct and utilities for inventory homes, temporary power, and back charges.
  • Create subdivision lot files and subcontractor contact lists.
  • Act as a liaison between builders, sales employees, and subcontractors regarding starts, change orders, and cut-off dates.
  • Perform other duties as requested.


Requirements:


  • High school graduate or GED required.
  • A minimum of 3 years of applicable experience is required.
  • Valid unrestricted driver's license and vehicle insurance required.
  • Experience in a field related to land development or real estate preferred.
  • Homeowner's association experience preferred.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Word, Project, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint, as well as knowledge of scheduling software.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
