Job Title: Park Ranger

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Park Ranger to join our team at the State of Connecticut. As a Park Ranger, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and enjoyable experience of park visitors, while also maintaining the park's facilities and grounds.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide general information and assistance to park visitors
  • Maintain park facilities and grounds, including cleaning, landscaping, and repairing equipment
  • Enforce park rules and regulations, and respond to emergencies as needed
  • Collaborate with other park staff to achieve park goals and objectives
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in a related field preferred
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a variety of weather conditions
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working in a park or recreation setting
  • Knowledge of park rules and regulations
  • Ability to operate a variety of equipment, including lawn mowers and chain saws
