Registered Nurse

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at CFG Health Network. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a correctional healthcare setting.

• Provide direct and indirect nursing care to meet the psychological, psychosocial, and emotional needs of patients.
• Utilize effective communication skills to demonstrate respect, concern, and courtesy in all interpersonal relationships.
• Use current knowledge to promote a safe environment for providing healthcare to patients.
• Maintain current professional skills and continue professional growth to enhance the practice of nursing within the program and the image of the organization.
• Adhere to personnel policies to enhance the operation of the healthcare unit.
• Maintain required annual licensure and credentialing requirements for the nursing personnel of the program.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current, unrestricted license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state where the facility is located.
• At least one year of RN experience.
• Previous correctional healthcare environment preferred.

• Excellent critical thinking and assessment skills.
• Ability to make decisions independently.
• Assertive, empathetic, and able to provide care objectively.
• Strong interpersonal communication and customer service skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Able to work with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel.
• Experience in working with Electronic Health Records.
• Ability to function independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to command the respect and confidence of inmates and staff; and philosophically committed to the objectives of the facility.
• Maintains an active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

• Ability to pass all required health and other screening tests.
• May be required to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
• On-call duty may be required (available to work on short notice) as per site requirement.

• Provides a positive and professional representation of CFG Health Network.
• Keeps patient information confidential and respects patient's right to privacy.
• Promotes a culture of safety for patients and employees through proper identification, reporting, documentation, and prevention.
• Maintains competency and knowledge of current standards of practice, trends, and developments in related scope of job role or practice.
• Adheres to infection control policies and protocols, medication administration and storage procedures, and controlled substance regulations.
• Participates in ongoing quality improvement activities.
• Completes required orientation and trainings directed by facility.
• Follows facility and OSHA safety rules and procedures while on assignment.
• Follows facility and CFG Health Systems Occurrence Protocol.
• Adheres to PREA regulations.
• Punctual and dependent for assigned/confirmed shifts.
• Maintains security clearance for the assigned facility.
• Identifies and utilizes appropriate channels of communication with supervising staff.

• May regularly be required to stand, sit, walk, reach, bend, kneel, crouch, or stretch, for prolonged periods of time.
• Ability to communicate and understand written and verbal communication.
• The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
