At Penn Medicine, we are dedicated to providing the highest level of care to our patients. We are seeking a skilled Sleep Study Technician to join our team.

About This Role

This is a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where you will have the chance to make a real difference in people's lives. As a Sleep Study Technician, you will be responsible for performing overnight sleep testing procedures and scoring polysomnograms to generate reports summarizing sleep/wake periods, REM episodes, arousal analysis, EEG phenomena, cardiac events, respiratory events, limb movements, and other physiological events according to current guidelines.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct overnight sleep testing procedures using advanced equipment and technology
  • Score polysomnograms and generate detailed reports
  • Evaluate infant/pediatric patients and perform polysomnography for evaluation of sleep apnea and seizures
  • Perform various sleep studies, including diagnostic PSG (polysomnography) studies, MSLT (multiple Sleep Latency Tests), CPAP and BiPAP Titrations, ASV, MWT, Split night studies, Home Study Test education of patients, and mask fittings
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:

  • A Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) certification or equivalent experience
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
