Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Radiology Specialist - Breast Imaging to join our team at Saint Joseph Hospital in Denver, Colorado. As a member of our radiology department, you will be responsible for performing breast imaging procedures, including mammography and ultrasound. You will prepare exam rooms, obtain informed consent, and request accurate clinical histories as necessary. You will also review patient histories, determine proper protocol selection, and explain examination methods to patients.

In this role, you will assess patient status and needs, complete diagnostic techniques/tests, and perform interventions as necessary. You will review and evaluate completed tests for quality, completeness, and type ordered, ensuring accurate images and documentation. You will coordinate preparation of images/exams and needed documentation for physician partners, communicating effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.

You will maintain a safe and effective work environment, monitoring equipment reliability and safety, reporting issues, and ordering supplies as needed. You will actively participate in quality initiatives, including patient satisfaction, patient care, and workflow. Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited American Registry of Radiologic Technology Program, required
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) certification, required
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technology (M) registry, required with 18 months of hire
  • Radiologic Technologist state licensure, required
  • Health Care Provider Life Support certification, required
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technology (BS) or American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS), preferred
  • One (1) year diagnostic radiology experience, preferred
  • Previous experience in Breast Imaging procedures, strongly preferred
