Clinical Laboratory Coordinator

We are seeking a skilled Point of Care Coordinator to join our team at University Health System- San Antonio. This role is responsible for assisting in the development, implementation, evaluation, and coordination of all aspects of point-of-care testing performed by non-laboratory staff.
About the RoleThis position plays a crucial role in maintaining, monitoring, and supporting effective quality programs to ensure safe and efficacious laboratory testing using good laboratory practices and good manufacturing practices.
Responsibilities- Assist in the development, implementation, and evaluation of point-of-care testing programs.
- Maintain regulatory compliance in Clinical Laboratories.
- Support the achievement of effective quality programs.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's degree in medical technology or an appropriate biological medical science.
- Experience in clinical laboratory testing, preferably with advanced computer skills (Access, Excel, and other spreadsheet and Microsoft applications).
- Certification by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) or National Certification Agency (NCA) or equivalent.
The estimated salary for this role is $65,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.
