Job OverviewOur client, a leading healthcare organization in Philadelphia, is seeking a skilled Contract Accountant to join their dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in accounting and finance, with a proven track record of preparing and recording journal entries, conducting account reconciliations, and supporting budget preparation. The successful candidate will also have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively across departments to maintain precise financial records.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and record journal entries, adhering to GAAP standards.
  • Conduct account reconciliations and address any discrepancies promptly.
  • Support budget preparation with thorough analysis and reporting.
  • Facilitate the creation of financial statements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Work collaboratively across departments to maintain precise financial records.
  • Aid in audit processes and supply auditors with required documentation.
  • Drive enhancements in accounting procedures and systems.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • At least 3 years of accounting or finance experience, ideally in the healthcare sector.
  • Solid grasp of GAAP.
  • Skilled in using accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Meticulous attention to detail, along with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills and the capacity to work well with others.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment, working both autonomously and as part of a team.
